Specimen Collection and Handling

1. Draw blood in a serum gel tube (SST). DO NOT UNCAP TUBE ONCE SPECIMEN IS COLLECTED. Do not draw in a syringe.

2. Spin down, but DO NOT TRANSFER OR OPEN TUBE.

3. Send specimen refrigerated.

4. The results will be normalized to a pH of 7.40.
