Clinical Significance
Diagnosis of Trichomoniasis is confirmed when parasites are found in the urinary sediments of both males and females.
Sediments of vaginal washes or swabbings have also been used to isolate the organism.
Rejection Information
Dry swabs or specimens on slides should never be accepted for testing.
