Specimen Collection and Handling

PLASMA: Spin down within 45 minutes of venipuncture and send refrigerated in a plastic transport tube clearly labeled as EDTA.

SERUM:
Spin down within 45 minutes of venipuncture and send refrigerated in a plastic transport tube.

Specimen should be frozen for shipment to Performing Laboratory (LCA-Esoterix).
