Detecting serum antibodies (IgM and IgG) to Borrelia burgdorferi
If screening test is positive or equivocal, the test will automatically be referred for “Lyme Disease Antibody, Confirmation, Serum” testing at an additional charge.

Negative: Antibody to B. burgdorferi not detected.
If symptomology is suggestive of Lyme disease, redraw in 2 – 4 weeks and retest
Equivocal or Positive: Reflexes to Lyme IgG and Lyme IgM confirmation
