Specimen Collection and Handling

1. Spin specimen, aseptically remove serum or plasma within 2 (serum) or 24 (EDTA plasma) hours of collection and send frozen.  Please note:  Plasma is not the preferred specimen and is included here if serum is not and cannot be available.

2. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles, obvious microbial contamination, prolonged ambient temperature exposure and specimen-to-specimen contamination.

3. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
