Specimen Collection and Handling

1. Draw blood in royal blue (no additive) tube.

2. Allow sample to clot for 30 minutes, centrifuge, and separate serum from cells within 2 hours by carefully pouring serum into an aliquot tube.

3. Do not insert a pipette into the serum to remove from cells.

4. Send serum refrigerated in a screw-capped plastic vial.
